Gee, where does the time go??? I guess you’re all wondering where I’ve been. Or not. Either way, here’s an update.
Free Angel Card Readings
I spent the month of March working on my passive income experiment, which is a website that offers free angel card readings. I absolutely LOVE this website – it’s bringing me so much joy. My favorite thing about it has been connecting with other people who share an interest in angels.
Money-wise, I’ve already received two checks in the mail from Google Adsense for my angel site and another check is already in the mail. The site is doing well in search engines – it’s coming up on page one of Google for it’s main keyword, which is GREAT for a brand new site. I’m very happy and excited about this site, not just because of the passive income it’s generating but also because people are connecting with it in a powerful way.
Share Your Message
By April, most of the major work on my angel site had been completed. I decided to create another passive income site called ShareYourMessage.net, which helps people find their passion and turn it into a business. I wrote an awesome free eBook for this site and created several webinar courses.
I have to admit that this site doesn’t feel quite right yet and something needs tweaking. My intuition is telling me to focus on just the PASSION part of it and ditch the other stuff.
But since I’m not clear on exactly what I want to change, the site is in limbo for now. I’ve decided to leave it alone until I receive clear guidance on what to do with it. What I’ll probably do is create a video course on finding your passion and turning it into a biz, and just sell that. In the meantime, people are loving the free book, so that’s good.
May arrived with a surge of creativity! I flung open the doors of my arts & crafts closet and haven’t stopped MAKING STUFF. I’ve been busy making jewelry and crucifixes for my Etsy shop and learning how to draw. I ordered a crapload of art books on Amazon, my favorite one being Suzi Blu’s Mixed Media Girls. Suzi is teaching me to draw and paint cute folk art girls. I’m also really loving Kelly Rae Roberts book, Taking Flight. Lotsa good stuff!
Once I get better at drawing & painting I intend to paint GODDESSES. Not just ancient Goddesses, but Goddesses in my own life – the women who inspire me most. I’m VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!! If my paintings are fridge-worthy, I will turn them into prints & cards and sell them on Etsy. If they are not fridge-worthy, I will burn them in my firepit while my godson roasts marshmallows.
I also want to combine my passion for writing and art into a book (think SARK). I might even take my current book and transform it into an artsy version. I’m also VERY EXCITED about this.
Life Lesson # 1: You know you are on the right track when you feel VERY EXCITED about something.
The Summer of Fun
All this arty-fartsy-ness has led me to declare the summer of 2012 as the Summer of Fun. Not just for me, but for you too. What are you going to do for FUN this summer? I dare you to ask yourself, “How much FUN can I have???”
I’m having tons of fun with my art projects, but that’s just the beginning. 2 of my Vegas friends are coming to visit – Rachelle in June and Darlene in August. I’m also going up to Thunder Bay to breathe in huge amounts of fresh air, sit by a lake and listen to the loons for a week.
Oh and did I mention the bananas?
Since the weather has warmed up, I’m back to eating a ton of raw vegan food. I’m talkin’ mountains of bananas. Here’s a pic of my current stash:
Life Lesson # 2: Bananas are fun. If you’re feeling sad, eat a banana and you will instantly feel better.
And that concludes this update. What are you doing for fun this summer? Have any good banana recipes? Let me know!
