Creating Vision Boards with Pinterest

by KB

If you ever have a conversation with my mother, she will tell you a couple of interesting things about me.  The first thing she will tell you is that I’ve had every color of hair imaginable.  The second thing she will tell you is that I’ve been “cutting and pasting” since I was old enough to hold scissors.

To this day I can remember the first collage I made in elementary school.  It was a collage of cheese.  I cut out pictures of all different types of cheeses, and pasted them onto an 8 x 10 piece of green construction paper.  I really had a thing for cheese.

In my latter years I cut out pictures of clothing, makeup, jewelry, celebrities, and and anything else that inspired me.  I made huge scrapbooks of inspiration for no reason.

So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered that “cutting and pasting” is a big part of being a Law of Attraction junkie.  Except that rather than cutting out pictures of cheese, you cut out pictures of stuff you want to be, do or have and make a poster out of it.  They call this a “vision board”.

In the past few years I’ve made a lot of different types of vision boards.  But I admit that all that cutting and pasting was becoming rather time consuming.

Enter Pinterest.

Pinterest is a free virtual pinboard that helps you “organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web”. And let me tell you, it’s addictive. HIGHLY addictive.  It’s also somewhat exclusive.  In order to get an account, a Pinterest member has to send you an invitation.

There were some very tense moments in my life following my discovery of Pinterest and before I had my own account.  I kept seeing all these amazing pictures yet “pinning” was impossible.  Needless to say I finally got my Pinterest account and in the past few months I’ve saved almost 900 pins (I told you it was addictive).

Pinterest is an incredible tool for creating online vision boards.  You can organize your “pins” in separate pinboards and review them whenever you like.  You can also follow your friend’s boards or sift through the most popular pins and save the ones that strike your fancy.

The thing I like about Pinterest is that it mimics how we use the Law of Attraction in our daily lives, usually without realizing it.  Every day, we sift through the contrast of life and FROM that contrast, decide what we want to be, do, or have.  Our inner being or Soul then “saves” these preferences to a “spiritual pinboard” (or what Abraham-Hicks calls “the Vortex”).  When we come into vibrational alignment with our desires, they manifest into reality.

I’m currently writing a book on how to raise your vibration, so look for that in the near future if you need help “coming into vibrational alignment with your desires”.  But for now, why not start getting CLEAR about what you want by creating a Pinterest vision board?  If you want an invitation, leave me a comment below and I will send you one. Also feel free to follow me on Pinterest.

Happy Pinning!!

Karen, I love your vision board. I still do the magazine image cut-and-paste thing in my workshops, but I think this is a much better option for individual work. Thanks for sharing.

This looks awesome! I browsed the site and it’s amazing (and I totally see how this could be addictive). I’ve been using other bookmarking sites but they’re not “visual” enough for me. Pinterest looks like a great too for me to use and share my ideas with others of like mind. I would love an invite KB! Please and thankyou!

¡Buena mañana KB! ¡Me llamo es Claire, y amaría una invitación a Pinterest!
I happily stumbled upon your youtube channel a couple of months ago, and may I just say thank you for your insightful & inspiring words! You speak right to my heart, and many of your entries resonate deeply with me. I have been following your blog since my happy discovery of ktotheb.com, and again, thank you for your ever-insightful writings! I’ve also just checked out your Pinterest site, and am so inspired! This is an incredible online program – and girl, I want in ☺ I love visualization; it helps me to positively manifests goals and aspirations for a life of bliss! I also love making collages, though haven’t in years, so the idea of a virtual pinboard is such an awesome way to create vision boards (while being mindful of our ecological footprint!). Would you kindly help me to enjoy the benefits of the Law of Attraction by sending me an invite to Pinterest? With much appreciation, and from one yogini to another, I bow to you with honour and grace. Peace & blessings, Claire.

I’ve known about pinterest for a while but only now that I realised I could use it in this way has it made me excited about getting an account. I requested an invitation on the website, but apparently it takes quite a while? I’d love to get started asap so if you could send me an invite that would be fantastic :)
